		<description>Man, I can't believe it, you saved my from going nuts !!!.  I had the same problem, but only with Visual Studio 2005.  I've reinstalled it and during the instalation got the same error.  I even uninstalled NET Framework 3.0. The same error.  I've tried your solution and voila !!!.

search you registry for 'WeDesignCore' 
I had one pointing to d:\wcu
remove all entries (two in my cases).. 

perhaps a little brutal but it did the job :)</description>
