Blogging from Word 2007

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007
This is just a test. If this works it’ll mean I can just type my blog posts in word and publish to WordPress. That would be pretty cool – I mean at the rate I post it’ll save me about 2 minutes every three months. It claims it’ll also upload pictures. Now this I’ve got to ... read more

Sign up to ask the Prime Minister to stop proposed restrictions regarding photography in public places

Wednesday, February 21st, 2007
As a photography enthusiast (albeit a shamefully inactive one) I am incensed by the notion of restricting photography in public places. According to Simon Taylor, there are moves afoot in the UK to do just this and so he has started a petition against it. As it turns out, there is no actual Bill being put ... read more

Simply the best home-delivered pizza in London

Thursday, April 27th, 2006
I’ve been so impressed with the pizzas from Firezza that I thought I’d spread the word. They do Neapolitan, wood-fired pizzas and you can order them by the metre! I highly recommend the eponymous “Firezza” pizza (Tomato, mozzarella, Italian spicy salami, wood-roasted aubergines, courgettes and cotto ham). I’m in no way affiliated to the company - I just dig ... read more

I’m in Australia at the moment and loving every minute of it. What a fantastic country! My “visited countries” map now gets a huge splash of red.

Browse Happy? I’m laughing already.

Saturday, February 11th, 2006
So I just upgraded this blog to WordPress 2.1. It has some really cool features; mainly on the editing side. But I have to say, the thing that irks me about WordPress is that it is a browser evangelism platform. Previous versions would just show a “Get Firefox” link. But the new version ups the ante with the following link: The ... read more

Suicide bomber in London’s docklands?

Thursday, July 7th, 2005
I’ve heard from two different people during the course of the day, that police have shot dead a suicide bomber in London’s docklands. However, there has been no mention of it on the BBC. Report/rumour 1: 07/07/2005 13:17 “apparently news 24 has said that a suicide bomber has been shot in Docklands” Report/rumour 2: 07/07/2005 13:50:40 ... read more

London bomb blasts

Thursday, July 7th, 2005
It has been a horrific morning. I have been on the verge of tears for the last few hours. I slept in a bit this morning because a drank a bit too much wine last night. When I finally got up there was no Northern line tube between Morden and Stockwell, so I decided to work ... read more

Zimbabwe’s boundaries from space

Monday, July 4th, 2005
I’ve been having a play with the Google Earth, which is just WAY TOO COOL!! Download it now! (Windows only at this point) Obviously, I’ve been perusing the country of my birth: Zimbabwe. It is interesting to note that the political boundaries of the country are quite evident just from the satellite images. Geographical map of Zimbabwe ... read more

Zimbabwe: brink of genocide?

Monday, July 4th, 2005
The BBC has run an article saying that Methodist bishops from southern Africa have warned that a potential genocide could take place in Zimbabwe. I would like to say that the Zimbabwean people are not capable of genocide. I would like to say that only Mugabe and his cronies are evil, and that the rest of ... read more
